A bit of a mystery man, who tried to hide his origins
1890 Aug 7 Born New Zealand in RIC. But he appears to have been born Illinois, USA, and he claimed he served as a Lieutenant in Australian Army at some point. It is unlikely that two Lester Collins, both 6ft 1" were born on the same day, given "Lester Collins" is not a common name
1918 Oct 19 Draft Registration Card. Note he had been Lt in Australian Army. I cannot get him in Australian records
1919 Apr 3. Married in London to Madoline E R V List (date in RIC)
1921 Jan 19 Joined RIC with RIC no 78180 & ADRIC no (830) . Driver, Ex-soldier and Motor Engineer
1921 Feb 28 Resigned to become a T/Cadet
1923 Dec 31 He arrives New York from Liverpool. Correct dob to the day, and is "Lester Frank Collins" and Engineer and travels 2nd class. He just appears to have taken to adding "Frank" or "Franklin" after he left ADRIC
1932 Jan 21. Arrives New York from Cherbourg. His New York address is Bellevue Hospital, New York
1959 Marriage in London to Ernesta I Postma ?
